From the start, the Foundation’s mission has been grounded in the understanding that impacts of disaster can best be mitigated by strategies to strengthen communities for the long term. By increasing access to information and opportunity, Foundation for Louisiana continues the work of its predecessor, the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation, helping those most in need achieve economic stability, advocate for their community’s interests, and acquire the knowledge necessary to protect their families and assets. This year, Foundation for Louisiana’s Disaster Preparedness Summits served residents and small businesses in greater numbers and in more locations than ever before – the people of Louisiana are eager for opportunities to be proactive about preparedness. Please find below resources to guide preparedness planning for your family and business.
The Foundation is committed to continuing our work of building community resilience in partnership with grassroots leaders and the local nonprofit sector. We need your continued support in order to keep providing these services year-round in order to lessen the impact and reduce need in the wake of disaster.
