LEAD graduates develop the skills that they need to enact positive change through their organizations and communities while building strong relationships with other neighborhood leaders from across the city. If so, then Foundation for Louisiana (FFL) has your back!

Our LEAD program (Leadership, Engagement, Advocacy, Development) is just one way that that Foundation for Louisiana (FFL) invests in people and practices to build strong communities. FFL is preparing for the launch of the next LEAD class and we are looking for neighborhood leaders like you.

This seven-week program brings in guest experts to host skill-building sessions in a variety of fields like community organizing, advocacy, public policy, and land use and development. LEAD graduates develop the skills that they need to enact positive change through their organizations and communities while building strong relationships with other neighborhood leaders from across the city.

LEAD GRADUATES WENT ON TO:
• develop a 10-year housing plan to ensure more affordable housing is available and that there is equitable development.
• lead their neighborhood associations
• sit on the RTA Riders Advisory Committee
• advocate for responsible use of artists’ images and cultural workers images
• lead the charge for a Mardi Gras Indian Cultural University
• even managing Foundation for Louisiana’s TOGETHER Initiative!
