Monique Brown

Lousiana’s

Grants and Program Implementation Fellow

A native of New Orleans, Monique graduated from Dillard University with a degree in Public Health-Health Systems Management.

Monique has more than 10 years of experience in grants management, policy and advocacy, and tobacco prevention and control.

She is one the founding members of the national tobacco-free HBCU initiative and worked closely with colleges and universities across Louisiana to development and implement tobacco-free campus policies.

Monique is an advocate for children’s rights and a certified foster parent.

Monique resides in Gentilly with her husband and three children.

When she can find free time, she enjoys reading, movies, and is an extraordinary baker.
